Welcome to J & F Home Child Care Services Incorporated. Established in 1979 and still providing over 25 years of Excellence. J & F Home Child Care Services is licensed by the Ministry of Children and Family Services to provide care for children in private homes. All of the providers under contract with J & F Home Child Care Services have a home environment and program that provides the optimum in quality care for children. This website is designed to help you understand the Home Child Care service in accordance with Ministry of Children and Youth, Day Nurseries Act and the City of Toronto, Children’s Services Division. Guidelines have been established to promote a high quality program for your Day Care children.

J & F is a full service, full fee agency working on a 12-month basis. Your payments cover the time that you are with the agency, not just with the provider. J & F is working in conjunction with their clients, and providers in promoting Quality Early Childhood and Education with the belief that “It takes a Community to Raise a Child.”
This Full Service Agency:
- Conducts an extensive provider orientation and screening
- Checks references
- Does a police check on all adult family members in the home
- Conducts a home safety check
- Arranges fire safety inspections
- Arranges home child care courses
- Arranges First-aid/CPR course
- Arranges liability insurance at group rates
- Supplies equipment: high chairs, porta cribs, twin/triple strollers
- Ensures all equipment is safety standard approved/maintained
- Advertises for providers and clients
- Handles client inquiries
- Offers clients conveniently located child care homes
- Processes paperwork for client and provider as per ministry regulations
- Addresses all client inquiries and concerns with confidentiality
- Offers clients and providers information seminars
- Handles all financial matters (as per provider’s directions)
- Collects monthly fees on behalf of the provider
- Arranges tax workshops
- Offers First aid kits, latex gloves, and crafting supplies
- Supplies newsletters and activity ideas to providers
- Maintains all rules and regulations as per the Day Nurseries Act on behalf of both provider and client
- Helps with a list of referrals for your child’s extended time away due to illness
- Lobbies the government for funding on behalf of the provider and agency
- Advocates on behalf of the children and families
