Providers are not employees but independent contractors.

Before receiving children in your home a provider with J&F Home Child Care you must:

Provide a criminal reference check for yourself and anyone in the home over age 18 years of age (over the age of 12 for York Region) or anyone regularly visiting your home
At least two references must be submitted to the agency
A home safety inspection must be completed including a fire inspection
Provide written documentation of child care courses enrolled in or previously taken
Basic first aid and CPR course certificate
Submit agency medical form for provider and anyone in the home or anyone regularly visiting the home
Submit proof of up-to-date pet vaccination (if applicable)
