Programming
In designing a daily schedule, a provider shall ensure that the activities are balanced and flexible within a child's centered environment. Activities and experiences should take into consideration the children's developmental level, their needs, strengths and potential. Activities should also offer choice and promote active learning. Alternate activities should also be outlined in anticipation of particular needs.
A well-balanced schedule is one that includes activities that are:
- Indoor / outdoor
- active / quiet
- individual / group
- child provider initiated activities
- meeting individual physical needs of children
